Unroped
Make up awards to give to games you have played this year (it doesn't need to have released this year). Try to come up with shit to cover as many of the games you've played as possible, no matter how overly specific you have to be. @GAME CREATORS: Awards given in this thread are the highest level of prestige possible; please feel free to put posts from this thread onto the box of your Game of the Year edition releases.

Big agree on Torrent for best horse btw. Torrent has set the new standard for video game horses. All future horses without double jumps are going to have some serious explaining to do.

BEST REPRODUCTION OF A MARIO KART BATTLE COURSE: BLOCK FORT (DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2)

did we ever tally up how long this took? also you got inside pics?
It was about 300 hours total between all of us combined. (So 75 each on average.) I do have pics of the insides - I need to upload a gallery sometime! (I'll prob do it tomorrow now that it's on my mind)

Good stuff dude.

I'm a little surprised to see Untitled Goose Game listed as a disappointment, but it also makes sense in a way. I had a blast playing it with Scott - we passed the controller back and forth to co-op it. But I think it was a good thing that the game was so short, because it definitely did seem like the sort of thing that might wear out its welcome if it went for much longer.

Let me know what you think of Darksiders II when you play it. I haven't played it yet, but I've heard that series compared to Zelda. It's been on my "maybe someday" list for a while now.

Darksiders II was in the section of games I've played but haven't finished that I really feel like I need to get back to especially since I have Darksiders III waiting to be played as well, so I have already played II, though it's been a number of years since I last touched it. The first Darksiders is kind of God of War combat meets Zelda game stucture, and is quite fun. Darksiders II has, as I remember it, a sort of similar but bit more open structure, and not necessarily in a good way. Instead of the main weapons you get and keep in the first game DSII has a more Diablo-like loot system, where you find a lot of weapon drops and can kind of pour them into each other to upgrade and so, and I remember never being a big fan of that system. There's also a whole lot of sidequests. The original game is definitely the stronger of the two, but I wouldn't call the second game bad.
